A Sweet Celebration with a Heart
The National Banana Pudding Festival emerged from the collective vision of twelve passionate community volunteers in Centerville, Tennessee. Initially inspired by a desire to support victims of disasters, fires, tornadoes, and floods, this dedicated group formed the festival as a nonprofit corporation in September 2009. Over time, they realized the festival could serve a broader purpose, providing a platform for numerous nonprofits to raise essential funds for their causes. Each year, more organizations join, turning the festival into a cherished event filled with purpose and fun.
Delightful Fun for Everyone
The festival offers something for everyone, making it more than just a celebration of banana pudding. Highlighted by the National Cook-Off for the Best Banana Pudding in America, attendees can also explore the Puddin' Path, sampling delightful banana puddings crafted by many local nonprofit groups. The two-day event boasts diverse entertainment on multiple stages, a charming Little Nanner's Children's Area for the young ones, and Banana Land, an exciting spot for the older kids to go bananas. With a variety of food and craft booths, there's something to pique everyone’s interest, ensuring a vibrant, engaging experience for the whole family.
A Celebration of Community Spirit
The 14th Annual National Banana Pudding Festival and Cook-off is set for October 5-6, 2023, in Centerville, TN. Situated near Grinder’s Switch Rail Station, the festival area is enriched with local history and charm, inspired by Minnie Pearl’s famed fictitious town.
This festival goes beyond delightful desserts; it's a celebration of community spirit, tradition, and the joys of coming together for a great cause. Attendees are invited to enjoy a weekend of delicious banana pudding, entertainment, and the warmth of community support.
